  • Dr. Mrs. Edith Ugochi Omede is a Computer Scientist and academic with a Ph.D. in Computer Science. She specializes in Software Engineering and Database Management Systems, with extensive experience in the design, development, implementation, and optimization of software applications and enterprise database solutions. Her research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address real-world challenges, particularly in the domains of Healthcare and Agriculture. Her work integrates machine learning, deep learning, explainable artificial intelligence (XAI), data analytics, and intelligent decision-support systems to improve healthcare delivery, enhance agricultural productivity, and promote sustainable development. She is committed to advancing research and innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration, high-quality teaching, and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research. She has contributed to the development of practical computing solutions and is passionate about mentoring future technology professionals while promoting the ethical and responsible use of emerging technologies.
